This Limited Lifetime Warranty is given only to the original purchaser (the "Buyer") of this new garden furniture (the "Product").ﾠ Richey Industries, Inc. warrants that the Product will be free from defects in workmanship and materials under normal use and service as long as the Buyer owns the Product.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED:

Damage caused by or resulting from shipping, product misuse, abuse, neglect, harmful chemicals, improper assembly or maintenance, or accidents.
Normal weathering or wear and tear (Normal weathering is defined as exposure to sunlight and extremes of weather, including atmospheric pollution and acid rain, which may cause any surface to fade or change color, warp, crack, or acquire dirt or stains.)
Damage resulting from the modification of the Product from its original design.
Damage to the finish of the Product.
Damage resulting from the use of the Product for or in connection with a commercial purpose.ﾠ (The Product is intended for personal, family, or household purposes only.)

YOUR RESPONSIBILITY

Keep a sales receipt, canceled check, or payment record to verify your purchase.

CLAIMS PROCEDURE:

The duration of this warranty is limited to claims arising and made in writing to Richey Industries during the period that Buyer owns the Product.ﾠ To report a warranty claim, the Buyer must either call the telephone number below or send a letter or email to the address below.ﾠ The Buyer must also provide proof of purchase, a photograph of the defective Product, and an explanation of the claimed defect.ﾠ Richey Industries will either repair or replace the Product or replace the defective part or portion of the Product, at the option of Richey Industries.ﾠ Richey Industries reserves the right to discontinue or make changes to the Product.ﾠ If a Product covered by this warranty is not available, Richey Industries will have the right to substitute a product, that in Richey Industries' sole discretion, is of equal or greater quality and similar appearance.

This product consistently gets great reviews, except for the occasional complaint about price and the fact that the canopy holds water. I agree completely, but don't do what I did and ignore the latter criticism - it does hold water and it will only go away after a rain if it evaporates (which will take days) or if you get it out yourself, getting wet in the process. This is a great swing set in all respects but for the canopy problem. If the manufacturer will offer a fabric that shields you from the sun (it's primary purpose anyway) and also drains, the price would be acceptable too.

I have checked "Yes, I would recommend this to a friend" in this review, but only after the canopy material is changed.

I have owned a variety of basic metal backyard swings with stand/canopy for years usually purchased locally (Walmart/Kmart/Targets). Although comfortable and relaxing most of the swings sets purchased were made of metal which rusts very quickly in the Florida salty air. I would typically replace my purchases yearly (for safety reasons (rusted joints/screws/weathered canopy, etc.)

I finally decided after reviewing your website to splurge and purchase a cedar wooden swing w/stand/canopy. My 20 year old son & girlfriend (who are not mechanically inclined) put this together within a few hours w/no problems. It's absolutely beautiful, extremely comfortable and relaxing. The springs are a "MUST" for added comfort. My husband & I are finally spending quality time just sitting, swinging & effectively communicating (without the interruptions of TV, computers, or [pesty telemarketing phone calls). This swing is attactive, inviting and encourages us to get outside in the fresh air. My husband & I have had 2 back surgeries each & this swing chair is extremely comfortable with the contour design. Thank you so much for the expert craftsmanship and for giving back precious family time with my husband and children.
