Each slat, end, and corner is well sanded to be smooth to the touch, and slats are a comfortable width and thickness. This wood is not pressure-treated, so you may want to apply a sealant anywhere from twice a year to every other year, depending on the environment where you live. The wood slats are secured to the frame via nails.

I purchased this swing to replace an old swing that was probably original to my home. I knew I was getting an unfinished piece and was expecting a minimum amount of work. Just a little sanding and the finish is now smooth and comfortable. We've had it a little over a month and love it every day. Maybe this weekend I'll get around to puting on a clear coat!
Great piece, well built and very sturdy feeling. Don't forget your comfort springs!! They make a world of difference.

I liked the swing and will buy another this spring. I had to remove the arm rests redill and countersink screws to hold them on. They were not attached well.

The swing arrived very quickly and was exactly as pictured. It was easy to put together and appears sturdy although I have not sat nor swung in it yet.
I have already stained it and it looks great. I plan to add marine varnish as soon as the stain drys.

I would give less stars but I wanted cheap and I got it. It is assembled with staples and was falling apart straight out of the box. We are going to reinforce it with screws, stain and seal it. We are fixing kind of people so no big deal. The swing is still very cute and I look forward to relaxing on it.
