Unfortunately it came missing two nuts, so I had to make a trip to the hardware store. Fortunately they were common nuts. Additionally the holes were not piloted well so I had to get my drill out. Pretty annoying when I have a 4 year old and a 4 month old waiting on me to finish what I thought was going to be a quick assembly.

The Dixie Slat Back Porch Swing is quite attractive to look at and shows beautifully on the front porch of my 120 yr. old house. [...] I too had to re-drill a couple of the pre-drilled holes in order to get the bolts through. All the "fits" were off just enough that I had to continually loosen and retighten all the bolts and screws to get it to fit together acceptably. Not a big deal, but annoying. It also appears that one of the arm sections has one less or a lighter coat of paint since it doesn't really match the rest of the swing pieces. My big issue, however, has to do with the comfort level of the swing. While it is true that the narrow slats are quite comfortable on your behind, the same can't be said for the top front edge where the ends of the slats come in contact with the back of your legs right behind your knees. There appears to have been very little, if any, sanding done to round off the ends of the slats. Some of them actually feel sharp. Within five minutes of sitting on the swing, it starts to become painful. After sitting there for a short while, you develop dark red indentations across the back of your legs. This was true for me, my wife and my daughter, all of us with different leg lengths. I will most likely have to take out my belt sander to try and improve this, which also means I will have to repaint the swing.

Comments about Dixie Seating Dixie 4-ft. Slat Back Wood Porch Swing:
This swing is made in North Carolina of excellent material, packaged well and met all our expectations. The directions for putting it together (very simple to do) need a little "polishing".
Could not be happier with the product.

Needed to sand down the front edge of the seat, but other than that it's a great swing!

Comments about Dixie Seating Dixie 4-ft. Slat Back Wood Porch Swing:
The wooden slats in front of the swing need to be sanded down and painted so they don't bite into the users legs. Alternatively, a cushion would eliminate the problem. Overall I love the swing.
