About the 5 ft Ellsworth Garden Porch Swing

Your patio, deck, or garden can have the traditional and romantic look that comes from this porch swing. Made from durable shorea wood (from the teak family), it has vertical slats that form the backrest. A subtly contoured seat and two armrests add to the comfort. The hanging chain is included to make installation easier. Features a rosy finish that highlights wood's natural beauty and grain.

A clear sealant is applied to the swing to preserve the natural wood color and protect the bench from rain, insects and mildew.

About Shorea Wood

Shorea is possibly the best wood choice for outdoor furniture. Related to Burma Teak, this hardwood grows naturally and plentifully in the Pacific Rim countries, making it considerably less expensive than teak. Because Shorea contains an abundance of natural oils, is dense, heavy and hard, it is highly resistant to rot, bug infestation, wear and marring.
