I just finished assembling my glider, and can't wait to try it. The assembly was amazingly easy, even for a grandmother. It helped immensely that the hardware pieces were already put together when appropriate (nuts on bolts, spacers already on bolts, etc.)
I appreciate the nice look that the glider gives my patio, and am convinced that I'll spend more much-needed time communing with nature now.

This product is not built for real use. While it is attractive and comfortable, the wood slats in the seat are not strong, and even with one person sitting on it (it should hold 3), the seat sinks. It will break as soon as a second person sits on it if we are not very careful.
I am disappointed in this product's quality, and as soon as it breaks, I will be returning it.

I got this glider for my front porch and I LOVE it. I had to assemble it myself and was able to do so without too much trouble. It's lightweight yet dorable and looks adorable on my front porch. Of course I just HAD to get two pillows to put on it to make it look even more adorable.

The reviews claimed it only took a little bit to assemble. I had my Amsterdam friend assemble it, and it took him a long time. Maybe it is because he's a foreigner????!!!!.... A perfectionist??

Q1: Is this item coated with a sealant or stain?
A: No, all Jack-Post products are finished with a penetrating oil based product. Over time, depending on how much weather exposure they have, they'll need to be treated again with an oil based finish only.
