The classic Georgetown Slatback Rocker by Dixie Seating Company is crafted from durable North American Ash and Hickory hardwoods - the wood that is used in Louisville Slugger bats! Rather than using glue, the construction of the Georgetown Slatback Rocker features precisely machined components and pressure clamping, which allows the wood to expand and contract with weather changes. This chair ships fully assembled, except for the runners, which need to be nailed into place.

The Weathermaster finish applied to this chair will help protect if from the elements, however the Georgetown Slatback Rocker is designed for use on a covered porch. If the rocker is used in an unprotected area, constant exposure to the elements will accelerate the weathering process of the chair.
